Italy

Italy is important in the history because has been the home of many important cultures, such as the Etruscans and the Romans. Located in Southern Europe, Italy is bounded by France, Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia. Their capital is Rome, which has been the center of the Catholic Church. Italy has 59131287 habitants, for that is the fourth country on the European Union whit largest population.

The culture on Italy is a very important aspect, many traditions and customs that we now recognize as distinctly Italian can be identified by their regions of origin. In the visual art the most important painters are Italians, such as, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Donatello, Botticelli, Raphael and others. In the literature we can found important poets, and the very recognized writer Dante Alighieri. In the science Galileo Galilei that stars the scientific revolution, Alessandro Volta the inventor of the electric battery, Guglielmo Marconi inventor of the radio and Antonio Meucci inventor of the telephone. In the music the opera is the most recognized. Also the instruments associated with classical music, including the piano and violin, were invented in Italy. Italy's most famous composers are Palestrina, Monteverdi, Corelli, Vivaldi, Paganini and Rossini.

The most important cities in Italy are Rome because is the capital of Italy, and is full of history for that reason has many ancient monuments, medieval churches, founts, museums and palaces, and also have an excellent nightlife. Venice is a unique city built on water in the middle of a lagoon, that’s why the most Italian romantic and beautiful city. Florence is the most important renaissance architectural and art centers. Turin is the major cultural hub with elegant shops and excellent museums. Milan is one of the European richest cities, is known for the fashion shops, galleries and restaurants.
